We moved from Evanston to the UK in the summer 2015 and after 3 quotes chose Pickens Kane. Our contacts were Matt Buckley and in the office - email/phone - Sallie Pikrone. Our experience with them both was excellent, they were delightful - friendly, patient while remaining professional. Moving is a frazzling time and Matt talked us thru the process clearly and inspired total confidence. He gave us good advice on volume/weight/pricing trade offs and was pretty accurate when all was done. Sallie was very resposive to subsequent queeries and kept us up to date thru the whole process. The team who came to pack and ship came at the time agreed, were fast and efficient and courteous. We were not asked to pay in advance but only when the shipment had been collected and the estimate firmed up. They were not the least expensive quote but not by a lot and I would not hesitate to heartily recommend these folks and indeed have done. A small warning to others, the slight sting in the tail came in the UK where the delivery company assigned to take over when the shipment arrived were less than helpful. They seemed to have no understanding of, or particularly interest in issues of delivering to city locations where access could be retricted. The actual delivery drivers indicated this was often a major problem about which not much was ever done by the UK company. So many thanks, and much appreciatinon Matt, Sallie and your teams.
